KIND WORDS

The educational space Ericka Hart meticulously created presented me with an entirely new learning experience.

This educational experience served as a profound journey of inner exploration. Layers I wasn’t aware existed were peeled back through this process. Their mentorship pushed me to examine how my racial identity influenced my perceptions of sexual intimacy and power dynamics through a historically accurate cultural lens and abolitionist principles.

Words couldn’t possibly do justice to describe what I learned and experienced in Ericka Harts’s “Sex Education as Resistance” course

Ericka curated a space of safety and absolute inclusivity for all people with genuine interest and intention to learn and to effect progress within community. The curriculum was dense, stimulating and highly intellectual while still addressing the elitism and pretension that Is often present in academia.

Ericka Hart, M.Ed. is not your typical sex educator.

Ericka Hart (she/they) is a Black Queer Femme activist, writer, and award-winning sexuality educator redefining what it means to teach, speak, and lead from the intersections of race, gender, and sexual liberation.
With over a decade of experience in sexual health education, Ericka creates spaces where pleasure, healing, and justice coexist. Their work pushes beyond traditional “sex ed” — transforming conversations about wellness, identity, and liberation into tools for collective healing.
From classrooms to stages to digital platforms, Ericka Hart continues to be one of the most recognizable and radical voices shaping culture today.

THE FACE BEHIND THE BRAND

GET TO KNOW
ERICKA HART

Ericka Hart holds a Master’s in Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University and serves as adjunct faculty at Columbia University’s School of Social Work and the CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College.

Her teaching centers on the understanding that human sexuality is inseparable from overall health — and that conversations about pleasure must include race, gender, chronic illness, and disability.

Radical yet relatable, Ericka continues to reimagine what liberation can look like — through education, art, and unapologetic truth-telling.

(And yes, she’s still a bratty, switchy Sagittarius service bottom who misses Whitney more than you.)
